Tencent released its second quarter financial report on Historical ArchivesWednesday, showing a 9% year-on-year increase in both domestic and overseas gaming revenue. The company’s revenue from games in the Chinese market reached RMB 34.6 billion ($4.8 billion), while revenue from games in the international market was RMB 13.9 billion ($1.9 billion). The report stated that the domestic game revenue growth was primarily driven by increased earnings from VALORANT, the launch of Dungeon&Fighter Mobile, and the revitalization of flagship titles Honour of Kings and Peacekeeper Elite. Another notable title Naruto Mobile reached a new milestone of ten million monthly average DAUs (Daily Active Users) in May, the company said. In the global market, Brawl Stars hit a record high for average DAUs for the quarter and ranked third worldwide among all mobile games in this metric, according to market intelligence platform Sensor Tower.
