While Glass Onionis premiering on Netflix Dec. 23, eager fans can catch the film in theaters for a special Thanksgiving release ahead of streaming. Slated for a week-long run from Nov. 23 to Nov. 29, Glass Onionwill be showing across 600 theaters, including AMC, Regal, and Cinemark, with tickets on sale now.
What do we know about the new sequel?
Our favorite detective, Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig), is back, and this time, he’s in Greece. Snooping around a luxurious private estate on an idyllic island, Blanc soon meets a strange group of friends all invited by billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton).
There’s business moguls, fashion models, scientists, and influencers. But while the members of this group all pride themselves on different careers, they all become suspects when a surprise death plagues the island. Who, where, what, why? Benoit Blanc is sure to find out.
The star-studded cast for Glass Onionalso includes Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.

Mashable’s Deputy Entertainment Editor, Kristy Puchko, gives a spoiler-free review of the sequeland says that “Johnson has assured that lightning strikes twice with this much-anticipated sequel. Once again, he pulled together a crackerjack ensemble that is not only explosively entertaining in their roles but also radiates with the exuberance of the project.”
She continues, “This sequel has an energy that is uplifting and infectious. Its pacing races, then slows to swell around a dynamic new turn; it's as if Blanc's strong grip has us by the hand, confidently guiding us through betrayal, greed, and murder at a clip that brings to mind the fantastic final acts of Clue.”
Puchko also mentions that Johnson plays with “Reversals, reveals, flashbacks, and complicated alliances … with such panache that Glass Oniondoesn't feel like it's repeating steps, it feels like the continuation of an enthralling dance number.”
“Craig and his scene partners nimbly hit each step, glowing radiant on the screen like old-school stars, exuding glamor, machismo, or outrageousness, feeling both larger than life and all too real at once.” So it’s safe to say — the sequel’s a hit.
